Leith conveyor 40-500

The Leith Conveyor 40-500 is built to suit Grain & Fertilizer handling with ease , whether it is loading a field bin , truck or filling linkage spreader in the paddock the conveyor is easy to operate with full hydraulic drive control coupled with Honda GX690 engine (options to upgrade to a Caterpillar C1.1 Diesel engine) , a 4 spool & 2 spool valve to control belt , front & rear lift , wheel drive and steering these hydraulic spools are all operated from metal seat .

Conveyor uses a 500mm wide 3ply Cresent top belt on sealed trough rollers , fully enclosed in when covered by tarp , quick release hood for loading into shed with spout option for loading spreader with vanes , 25 lt poly petrol tank , 115lt hydraulic oil tank , LED work lights , oversize sign , poly mudguards , 15″ Landcruiser wheels and 12″ traction tread drive tyres.

Drive and tail rollers are lagged with rubber for longevity and also preventing damage to belt.

Belt tensioning is done by simple adjusters at hood end on conveyor.
Sealed return rollers , steel nip roller.
Easy to fit tow pull for transportation ,and by lifting front drive wheels an locking up when connected to towing vehicle.

About us

Leith Engineering was officially registered as a manufacturer of agricultural machinery and provider of general repairs in 1980. However, the foundations of the business were laid decades earlier. Wally Leith began building and selling side trailers in 1960, followed by the introduction of the “drop spreader” in 1963. This innovative machine was designed and manufactured to enable the fast and efficient application of gypsum as a soil improver, addressing the practical needs of Australian farmers.

By the mid-1970s, the business had expanded significantly, employing local staff and increasing 
its manufacturing capacity. As demand grew, so did the product range. The original drop spreader was redeveloped into a trailing model, produced in multiple sizes and available with either hydraulic or power take-off (PTO) drive systems.
